This sound installation captures and preserves the sounds of Stromness in summer 2019. The panels are arranged so that rows – rising – represent the sea, land and sky. Columns are arranged according to principles of soundscape ecology showing influences of human activity, wildlife and physical phenomena – the anthropophony, biophony and geophony of the town.
