Móti: Resonance
The Kelp Store, Papa Westray, Orkney
Saturday 4 September – Sunday 31 October 2021

Resonance is a group exhibition by members of the Orkney-based Móti Collective. In conjunction with FLOW Photofest 2021, the biennial international photography festival across the Highlands, Islands and Moray, the overarching theme of this exhibition is legacy. Many of the artists taking part in this show have taken this as an opportunity to embrace the photographic medium, using traditional and alternative processes. Alongside photography, there are also sculptural and textile-based pieces. Naturally for a group of artists in Orkney, these works all connect centrally with concepts of place, people and the passage of time, drawing from memories of the past, or engaging with issues which resonate far into the future.

Exhibiting artists: Louise Barrington, Amy Beeston, Boyd & Grogan (Susan Boyd, Kristel Grogan), Kerrianne Flett, Samantha Gray, Kristyn Grieve, Mary Grieve, Kelly Marwick, Frances Scott, Norna Sinclair and Sarah Wylie.
