Formed in 2016, Móti Collective is an artist collective based in the Orkney Islands.

The name comes from an Old Norse word meaning ‘towards; to meet’, and as such Móti Collective provides its members with mutual support and a platform to develop their work while being geographically removed from creative hubs such as London or the Scottish Central Belt.

I was invited to join the collective in 2019, attended my first Móti Collective meeting in January 2020 and became a committee member (Co-Treasurer) in March 2023.
