Creative landscape futures

I’m happy to be providing research support this week for ‘Creative Islands: Land, Sea, Pasts, Futures‘ – a 3-day AHRC-funded network gathering visiting various locations in Orkney this week.

The network brings together academics and a range of stakeholders to explore the ways that arts and humanities research can contribute to decision-making about landscapes.

Our activities will be as follows:

  • Thursday 23rd Feb – Field-day, based at Birsay Community Hall with excursions to Burgar Hill wind turbines and Birsay village and shore
  • Friday 24th Feb – Seminar day and group exhibition, hybrid event based at the Orkney research and innovation campus (Robert Rendall Building), Stromness
  • Saturday 25th Feb – Dialogues day, at the Pier Arts Centre, Stromness
